Using the J-Link browser add-on |
J-Link is very easy to use:
- Click the button in your web browser when you see references that you would like to know more about.
- Wait while links are created.
- Click one of the new links (they are green and double-underlined) to view JustCite information about the document.
J-Link buttons in the Toolbar
The appearance of the J-Link button depends on the version of your web browser:

J-Link button in the Internet Explorer 6 Toolbar (Windows XP)

J-Link button in the Internet Explorer 7 Command Bar (Windows Vista)
J-Link on the right-click menu
You can also use J-Link by right-clicking in a web page and selecting J-Link on the pop-up menu:

Using J-Link with selected text
If you want J-Link to convert just one or a few references, instead of scanning the whole page, drag over the reference(s) with your mouse before you click the menu item or button.

NOTES:
(i) J-Link sometimes fails to identify selected references within a table.
(ii) The fonts and spacing of selected text may sometimes be changed in unexpected ways.
Existing links and PDF documents
J-Link does not alter links that already exist.
The current version of J-Link does not add links to PDF documents.
Removing links produced by J-Link
To remove the links that J-Link has added, just click the Refresh button in your web browser.
J-Link only adds links to the version of the web page that is displayed in your browser; it does not touch the original document on the web server.
Saving links produced by J-Link
It is not possible to save web pages containing links that have been added by J-Link – you can save the file, but it will not contain the links.
Justis Publishing has other products that can add links permanently to HTML and Microsoft Word documents.
