Employment & Social Security RepresentativeI provide pro bono representation on behalf of FRU, a legal charity in relation to employment and social security matters. In relation to employment I advise and represent claimants in employment disputes at Tribunal where their dismissal is challenged on the basis of substantive and procedural unfairness, selection for redundancy or unlawful discrimination. I also act where there is some other right to compensation, for example, as a result of a breach of contract or statutory duty. In relation to social security I advise and represent appellants at Tribunal against decisions of the Secretary of State on entitlement to welfare benefits such as Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance.
