JustCite FAQs – New and improved features

JustCite 2.0, launched in May 2007, improves and extends most of the features of the original version of JustCite.

Data no longer being updated Contains the latest data
Search All – searched all of the data sources but only worked for references Quick Search box – searches all fields including references, title and subject terms
Not intuitive to select different search options Separate search forms for the 4 main areas

No suggest function Suggest function as you type; can be turned off
Limited fields All JustCite 1 fields plus the following new fields:
Simple results list displaying the name Much better results handling:
  • Results filtering: users can narrow down their results list using the filter feature
  • Extra document information displayed (Reference, Subject and Source are all new)
  • Extra sorting options, sorting more varied and sophisticated, can sort by all visible fields
  • Search feedback – panel slides out with tips and suggestions and search alternatives if results are too low or high
Good Help files but not easy to access Tips, Suggest, extra inline Help and feedback, refine search and suggestion panels all aim to help you get the information you want
Printing available through browser print button Print button as part of the service which allows you to print:
  • any selection of information sections from the Document screen
  • selection of documents from the Results screen
New: downloading and emailing from the Results and Document screens
No customisation My JustCite offering:
Navigation mainly through the browser Back button Easy navigation throughout the site
